What this site is

Ottawa Poly-B publishes general information about Poly B and Kitec plumbing replacement and offers a free referral service that introduces each homeowner to one independent plumbing contractor. We are not a licensed plumbing contractor and we do not perform, supervise, inspect or guarantee any work.

Information is general, not advice

Everything on this site is written for general guidance. It is not plumbing advice, legal advice, insurance advice or a substitute for an on-site assessment by a licensed professional who has looked at your property. Cost figures are planning ranges gathered from published industry sources and contractor feedback; your actual quote may differ substantially. Building code requirements, permit rules and insurer practices change, and they differ between companies and policies.

The referral relationship

When you submit the form, your details go to one contractor who pays us a fee for the introduction. We do not employ them or act as their agent, and they do not act as ours. Any agreement you reach with a contractor is between you and that company. We are not a party to it and we have no liability for their work, their conduct, their pricing, their timelines or any dispute that arises.

No guarantee of outcome

We cannot guarantee that a contractor will contact you, that you will receive a quote, that any quote will be acceptable, or that work will be available in your timeframe.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Ottawa Poly-B is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of this site or from work performed by a contractor we introduced you to. Nothing here limits rights you have under Ontario consumer protection legislation that cannot be limited by agreement.

Acceptable use

Do not submit false information, submit enquiries on behalf of someone who has not asked you to, or use the form for anything other than a genuine plumbing enquiry about a property you own or are purchasing.
