Central Ottawa and the older neighbourhoods

Homes in the Glebe, Westboro, Old Ottawa South, Alta Vista, Sandy Hill and Hintonburg mostly predate Poly B, so the original supply plumbing is usually copper or, in the oldest stock, galvanised steel. The catch is renovation history: a 1920s house with a 1985 addition or a basement apartment from the same era can easily have grey pipe in one part of the house and nothing anywhere else. Check the newest-looking plumbing, not the oldest.

Townships and the rural fringe

We also refer work in Russell, Embrun, Rockland, Manotick, Greely, Richmond, Carp, Almonte, Carleton Place and Kemptville. Two differences out here: houses on a private well are not exposed to municipal chlorine in the same way, which is one of the degradation mechanisms, and travel time occasionally shows up in a quote. Neither changes the pipe.

Quebec side

We do not refer work in Gatineau, Aylmer or Hull. Different licensing regime, and we would rather tell you that than pass your details to someone who cannot legally do the job.
